St. Mary’s Bank (www.stmarysbank.com) – the nation’s first credit union – conducted its 100th Annual Shareholder meeting on April 14th at The Event Center to a standing-room-only audience of more than 260 members, employees, board members, and elected officials on hand to participate in this milestone meeting. Elected officials in attendance included - Governor John Lynch, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (1st District NH), Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta, State Representatives from Manchester, Hudson and Nashua, among others.

Credit union leaders from around the country will gather in Manchester, N.H., on June 4 to dedicate the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) exhibit at America’s Credit Union Museum and kick off the credit union industry’s centennial anniversary celebration.

One hundred contestants had been invited, but many more showed up at St. Mary’s Bank on Saturday, April 26 for the final drawing of the “Bags To Riches” contest sponsored by St. Mary’s Bank, the nation’s first credit union, and radio station 95.7 WZID.
In the end, the Jacobs family of Hooksett were the lucky winners, with dad Eric Jacobs taking home the guaranteed $10,000 prize.
