Use St. Mary's online banking services with confidence

Incorporated in St. Mary’s online banking services are several layers of security for verifying your identity as you login. These security features provide added protection from identity theft and confirm when you are accessing St. Mary's legitimate online banking web sites.

The first time you login to online banking you will be required to complete a process to establish your security settings. This set up process, outlined below, is easy and takes only a few minutes to complete.

Select a personal image -- to verify you are accessing our legitimate site
First, you will be prompted to choose an image from the options presented. After this set up, every time you login, your selected image will be displayed, indicating you are at the legitimate St. Mary's Bank online banking site. If you do not see your image, do not continue and contact us immediately.

Security questions to verify your identity
You will then be asked to select three personal security questions. Select the questions you would like to use from the menu and give your answer in the box provided. From then on, we will monitor the transactions performed in your account(s) and whenever we suspect a risky transaction is about to be performed, we will ask you one or more of these questions.

With our latest security enhancements, you have the ability to create a stronger password for your online banking account. While your existing online banking password may still be valid, we recommend you change your password to better protect your account from potential fraud. 

To create your strong password:

• Log into your Online Banking Account, select the Preferences Tab and go to the "Modify Login Information" to change your password

• Use a minimum of eight (8) characters, including at least one numeric and at least one special characters such as (!@#$%^&*)

• New users logging into Online Banking for the first time

• Please note, existing online banking users with a valid password will not be required to make a change

While changing your password may not be required, we do encourage you to do so at your earliest convenience.

New Security Feature: Knowledge Based Authentication (KBA) Knowledge Based Authentication is an added level of security. When you conduct a transaction that is outside of your typical usage pattern (for example, using a different computer or high dollar value), you may be asked authentication questions to ensure the transaction is legitimate and requested by you, not a fraudster.
