$4,000 Grant from St. Mary’s Bank Supports Boys & Girls Club

Posted On 1/5/2016
The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester is the recipient of a $4,000 contribution from St. Mary’s Bank.

The grant will partially fund a feasibility study to gauge future opportunities to enhance and refurbish Camp Foster, the organization’s summer camp facility. Camp Foster has provided children with summer learning opportunities since the mid 1920’s.

Diane Fitzpatrick, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester, said, “we are extremely grateful to have the support of St. Mary’s Bank and other supporters to fund the feasibility study which will explore bringing greater opportunities to our young people.”

Their current facility, located off Back River Road in Bedford, NH was built in the 1940’s. The site includes 22 acres of land outfitted with program and recreation cabins, a swimming pool, pond, athletic fields and playground.

“Our relationship with the Boys & Girls Club extends beyond a financial gift,” said Judi Window, Community Outreach at St. Mary’s Bank. “We have a long history of supporting the Boys & Girls Club and we are excited to announce a new CU 4 Reality financial literacy program.”

The feasibility study will explore a complete renovation of the grounds and facilities allowing the organization to serve more children, enhance outdoor programming for Club members beyond the summer vacation period, and expand the amount of financial assistance available to families in need.
