His formal photography education took place at Syracuse University in the S.I. After graduating from Syracuse University, Scot spent five weeks in Israel in the Upper Galilee on Kibbutz Malkiyya (a work community) photographing members and volunteers as they worked day to day. When he returned, Langdon began his career in the news industry, working for community and regional metro daily newspapers, covering politics, news, features, and sports stories.
