Posted On 10/3/2005
St. Mary's Bank today announced its contribution of $500 to Mount Saint Mary Academy to match funds the students raised at a car wash to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.

In keeping with the Credit Union's philosophy of people helping people, St. Mary's Bank is pleased to be part of this effort. Mount Saint Mary Academy is affiliated with the Sisters of Mercy that had schools and hospitals damaged by the hurricane.

Sister Regina Fahy, Academic Supervisor and Vice Principal of Mount Saint Mary Academy, was thankful for the added funds and specifically requested the monies be presented directly to the children who raised the funds through their car wash. "We are very proud of the hard work and dedication our children have put into this endeavor and especially thankful to St. Mary's Bank for matching their fundraising efforts", stated Sister Regina.
