Manchester, NH-May 31, 2006 - St. Mary's Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven J. Macek to Vice President, Retail Lending Manager.

Macek brings over 21 years of management and consumer lending experience to St. Mary's Bank. In his new position, Macek is responsible for all direct and indirect consumer loans, collections and residential mortgage lending. Prior to joining St. Mary's Bank, Macek held senior level roles at several New Hampshire financial institutions, most recently as Vice President, Regional Credit Manager for Citizens Financial Group in Manchester.

Macek holds a degree in business administration from Hesser College in Manchester and is also a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking. Active in the community, Macek serves as treasurer for the Merrimack Valley Chapter of the New Hampshire Credit Union League. He has coached several junior sports teams in his hometown of Goffstown, where he resides with his wife and two children.
