St. Mary's Bank Pledges $4,000 to Trinity High School's Adopt-A-Student Program

St. Mary's Bank announced its recent pledge to donate $4,000 to Trinity High School's Adopt-A-Student Program. St. Mary's will give the school $1,000 each year over the next four years to help defray the costs of one student's tuition, from freshman year through graduation.

"The Greater Manchester community has always embraced and supported a large immigrant population," said St. Mary's Bank president and CEO Ronald Rioux. "St. Mary's strives to be at the forefront of that movement‹we want people of all ethnicities and cultures to feel at home here in Manchester, and our local schools play a large part in creating roots. We're pleased to help Trinity in its quest to enroll and educate refugee students."

Currently designated by the federal government as a refugee and immigrant relocation site, Manchester now counts thousands of refugees and immigrants as residents. Coming from all over the world, these people need housing, health services and education. As part of their commitment to serve this new population, Trinity High School implemented the Adopt-A-Student Program.

"St. Mary's Bank has generously pledged to sponsor one of our refugee students over the course of his or her four years at Trinity," said Principal Denis Mailloux. "Every dollar contributed will go directly to an individual student's tuition assistance. We are grateful to St. Mary's for their continued involvement in serving Manchester's growing immigrant population, and this contribution demonstrates their commitment."
