St. Mary's Bank Wins Second Creative Award for Mortgage Center Commercial

Posted On 6/7/2006
Manchester, NH - June 7, 2006 - A St. Mary's Bank mortgage center commercial is a silver winner in the 2006 Summit Creative Awards competition. Last year, the same commercial won a bronze Telly Award.

The Summit Creative Awards is an international, independent competition founded in 1994 to recognize outstanding work in advertising and communications. The competition receives over 4,000 submissions each year. Entries are rated by a panel of marketing professionals on their "innovative and creative concepts, strong executions, and the ability to communicate and persuade," according to the award's website.

St. Mary's Bank's spot, "The Chair," uses humor to show how competitive rates and low closing costs leave consumers with extra funds for "other purchases." The consumer featured spent his "savings" on a plasma TV and an oversized armchair in the shape of a baseball glove. The ad is available for viewing on St. Mary's Bank's website, www.stmarysbank.com.

The award-winning commercial originally aired last year on cable TV in Manchester, Nashua, and Concord and statewide on network stations WMUR and WNDS. The spot resumes airing on WMUR this month.

"The Chair" was produced by Creative Co-op of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
