St. Mary's Bank recently announced it will offer free Mobile Banking to its members. The credit union is one of the first local institutions to offer this service, which allows consumer as well as business members to access their accounts through cell phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs).

Mobile Banking gives members the flexibility to take care of their financial business at any time, wherever they are,” said Ronald J. Rioux, St. Mary’s Bank President and Chief Executive Officer. “We’re especially pleased to introduce this service during our 100th anniversary year. It really demonstrates how committed we are, and have always been, to being a progressive financial institution. Mobile Banking is just one more way we’re using the latest technology to make banking more convenient for our members.”

Through Mobile Banking, users will be able to view checking and savings account balances, make one-time transfers, view transaction history and receive alerts.

Mobile Banking is available to all St. Mary's members who have an online banking account and access to a web-enabled cell phone with the browser service turned on.

"At St. Mary's, we constantly look for new ways to serve our members by offering them the most up-to-date products and services in the industry," said Chris Freiberger, IT Director for St. Mary’s Bank. "Adopting new technology means more convenience for our members. Mobile Banking will give our members the flexibility they need to take care of their financial business, wherever they are."
