St. Mary’s Bank and 95.7 WZID Want You to go from Bags to Riches

Here’s your chance to win up to $100,000

MANCHESTER, NH - Leaving $100,000 in the lobby isn’t the way St. Mary’s Bank usually does business, but that’s what will happen April 26. And one lucky person may walk away with it all.

St. Mary’s Bank and 95.7 WZID have teamed up for their “Bags to Riches” contest, which offers a grand prize of up to $100,000. The contest is part of St. Mary’s Bank’s year-long 100th anniversary celebration, which includes monthly giveaways, events, and more.

“St. Mary’s Bank has a special place in New Hampshire history. For 100 years, they have been supporting our communities and empowering our residents,” said WZID President and General Manager Ray Garon. “WZID is proud to be part of their milestone anniversary celebration.”

St. Mary’s Bank opened as the first credit union in the nation in 1908. The 100th anniversary festivities kicked off in January with an anniversary-themed television ad and a series of giveaways.

“Our celebration is well underway, but ‘Bags to Riches’ is certainly our biggest contest yet,” said St. Mary’s Bank Director of Marketing Elizabeth Stodolski. “We hope everyone will enter for a chance to win. All you have to do is register and then listen for your name on WZID.”

Beginning March 20, listeners can tune in to 95.7 WZID and hear details on how to sign up for the contest. Contest information will also be available online at www.stmarysbank.com/100years and at www.wzid.com.

After 100 qualified contestants have been chosen by WZID, they’ll all gather at St. Mary’s Bank’s McGregor Street branch on April 26. That’s where they’ll find the money bags waiting in the lobby. One lucky finalist will be asked to choose the bag that may hold the $100,000.

If that’s not incentive enough to enter, there are the guaranteed prizes to consider. “The final contestant will go home with at least $10,000,” said Garon. “And each of the 100 contestants will be given a crisp $100 bill just for participating.”

“Our anniversary celebration honors all the people who have helped shape our credit union, including our members and the communities we serve,” said St. Mary’s Bank President and CEO Ronald J. Rioux. “We’re having a great time saying thank you.”
