Manchester, NH – St. Mary’s Bank is proud to announce that Daryl J. Cady, executive vice president and CFO, has been elected chairman of the board of directors for the Financial Managers Society (FMS). Cady is the first female and first credit union executive to serve as chairman of the association in its 60 year history.

"FMS is a valuable resource for so many finance and accounting professionals around the country," said Cady. "I am honored to be taking on a new leadership role in such a distinguished organization. I will continue the efforts under way to provide members with access to timely industry information as well as assist in creating more educational and networking opportunities."

Cady, along with the rest of the volunteers on the board of directors, is charged with guiding the association as it fulfills its mission to enhance the professional development of its members – CFOs, controllers, internal auditors and other financial professionals from community banks, thrifts and credit unions.

“We congratulate Daryl on becoming chairman of The Financial Managers Society,” said Ronald J. Rioux, St. Mary’s Bank President and CEO. “We are proud of all she has accomplished both at St. Mary’s Bank and in her external professional activities. She is a talented, experienced leader who is passionately committed to her industry and her profession. ”

In her capacity as EVP and CFO at St. Mary’s Bank, Cady oversees finance, operations, IT and facilities. She participates in strategic planning and in carrying out the vision of St. Mary’s Bank. Cady also serves on a number of committees at her organization. Previous professional highlights include serving as CFO at three other financial institutions throughout her career and holding various accounting roles over the last 18 years. She is a certified public accountant and holds a masters in business administration.

Cady has served FMS in a variety of roles over the last five years, including as chair of the Accounting Council and as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee.

“The success of FMS depends upon the quality of its volunteer leadership,” states FMS CEO Dick Yingst. “We are confident that Cady’s election will enhance the success of the association and further our ability to serve the industry.”
