MANCHESTER, NH—St. Mary’s Bank announced it recently gave $3,000 to the Presentation of Mary Academy’s (PMA) Technology Fund for the enhancement of their school computer lab.

Located on 90 acres in Hudson, New Hampshire, PMA is a co-educational private Catholic institution for youth in pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. Dedicated to quality education, fostering self esteem and nurturing the uniqueness and talents of every student, it was founded in 1926 and is owned and operated by the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary.

“Presentation of Mary Academy has been educating the youth of Southern New Hampshire for over 80 years, and their commitment to expanding their curriculum to keep up with ever-changing technologies is commendable,” said Tom Champagne, Director of Community Outreach at St. Mary’s Bank. “We’re pleased to help PMA give students the tools necessary to excel in today’s society as well as in their future endeavors.”

The school created the Technology Fund to provide a number of educational advantages for its students, including a facility with Internet access, a Smartboard in each classroom, a full computer lab with 25 Windows-based computers, current educational software, 25 teacher laptops for instruction and grading and a laptop for each junior high student.

“At Presentation of Mary Academy we strive to provide updated technology to meet the evolving educational needs of our students,” said Sister Maria Rosa, Principal. “St. Mary’s Bank is a well-known and respected member of the Southern New Hampshire community, and we are honored to have their support in this initiative. With contributions from local businesses like St. Mary’s, we get closer to reaching our fundraising goals, allowing us to nurture each child’s unique gifts and talents and develop them as lifelong learners.”
