April 21, 2011—St. Mary’s Bank announced it recently donated $2,456 to Webster House, a non-profit organization providing shelter, assistance and resources to local youths needing a place to live. The funds will help Webster House make various repairs to the Webster Street building and property.

“Webster House focuses its time and resources on meeting the physical and emotional needs of the underserved young people in Greater Manchester, which helps strengthen our community and the surrounding areas,” said Tom Champagne, Director of Community Outreach at St. Mary’s Bank. “St. Mary’s is pleased to help them keep their facility up-to-date and in great condition so they can continue their great work.”

Webster House helps local youths by not only providing them a safe home for a period of time, but by offering counseling, activities, a wide range of interpersonal relationships and by rebuilding the bonds that help reunite families.

“We are committed to offering structure to the young people living in Webster House, which helps stabilize their lives, resolve issues and encourage personal growth,” said Lou Catano, Webster House Executive Director. “With this generous gift from St. Mary’s Bank, we’ll be able to make a few necessary adjustments to our building that will allow us to continue providing these services without interruption.”
