St. Mary’s Bank Provides Outdoor Recreational Items for Children at Easter Seals NH Child Development & Family Resource Center

Manchester, NH – September 4, 2012 - St. Mary’s Bank recently awarded Easter Seals NH’s Child Development & Family Resource Center $2,000 to purchase much-needed outdoor learning materials such as bicycles, scooters, building blocks, toy trucks, and art materials. Outdoor recreation opportunities are important to children in the program as they provide an outlet for them to learn and play alongside their peers. More specifically, toddler and preschool playground equipment is vital as it fosters strong physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development in the young children Easter Seals serves.

The Center serves nearly 500 children and families annually across greater Manchester. The program provides early childhood education at an affordable rate to typical children and children with disabilities or special needs.

“The Child Development & Family Resource Center helps improve the quality of life and well-being of children and their families through programs such as child care, preschool, parent education and other health related support services,” said Tom Champagne, St. Mary’s Bank Community Outreach Director. “St. Mary’s Bank is very pleased to support the Center through the purchase of educational and fun outdoor learning materials.”

For nearly 20 years, St. Mary’s Bank has provided funding to a variety of Easter Seals NH programs for people of all ages with disabilities and special needs to gain greater independence. “We are so grateful to St. Mary’s Bank and their ongoing commitment to the people we serve,” said Easter Seals President and CEO Larry Gammon. “They truly do set an example of corporate philanthropy that has an immediate impact for residents across our state.”
