St. Mary’s Bank, Monarchs & Trinity Partner To Put Hunger On Ice
Organizations team up for food drive to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank
 
 
MANCHESTER, NH – January 22, 2013 - St. Mary’s Bank has partnered with the Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings,  and Trinity High School for the Put Hunger On Ice Food Drive to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank.
 
The food drive kicked off today with Monarchs players, joined by Trinity High School hockey players, at St. Mary’s Bank on Elm Street collecting non-perishable goods for the New Hampshire Food Bank.  A second player appearance is scheduled for Thursday, February 7 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Hanover Street branch.
 
”We are very pleased to be working with two excellent organizations, the Monarchs and Trinity High School, on this program to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank and help feed those in need,” said Tom Champagne, Director of Community Outreach at St. Mary’s Bank.
 
Fans who bring canned goods to donate to the Put Hunger On Ice Food Drive to the Trinity versus Hanover hockey game on Monday, February 11 will gain free entry to the game. Several Monarchs players will attend the Trinity game to help collect donations and sign autographs.
 
“Trinity High School is proud to be partnering with two pillars of the community, the Monarchs and St. Mary’s Bank, in working to help those in need in the Manchester Community,” said Denis Mailloux, principal of Trinity High School.
 
Trinity High School hockey players will help collect donations at the Verizon Wireless Arena when the Monarchs take on the St. John’s IceCaps at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16.
 
“We have a great partnership with St. Mary’s Bank and Trinity High School and we are proud to join forces and help feed the community of Manchester,” said Darren Abbott, President, Manchester Monarchs.
