St. Mary's members switching to e-Statements generate $1,000 donation to the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests.

St. Mary’s Bank recently made a $1,000 donation to the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests on behalf of its credit union members who elected to switch from paper to electronic account statements.  St. Mary’s Bank donated $2 for each of the first 500 credit union members who made the switch. St. Mary’s has donated a total of $5,000 to state environmental organizations since initiating its “go paperless” campaign five years ago.

“Electronic statements, versus paper, are more secure, arrive quicker and cost less which benefits St. Mary’s, our members and the environment” said Elizabeth Stodolski, director of marketing at St. Mary’s Bank.  “We are pleased this annual promotion continues to be popular and effective at helping our members make the switch from paper to electronic.”

“Given that New Hampshire’s forests are an important part of the state economy, we’re pleased to partner with St. Mary’s Bank,” said Jane Difley, president/forester of the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests.  “We appreciate the generous donation, of course, and having St. Mary’s Bank engage their members in the Forest Society’s mission is wonderful.”

The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests is the state’s oldest and largest non-profit land conservation and forestry organization. In order to preserve the quality of life New Hampshire residents know today, the goal of the Forest Society, in partnership with other conservation organizations, private landowners, and government, is to conserve an additional one million acres of the state’s most significant natural lands for trails, parks, farms and forests by 2026.
