YWCA New Hampshire Computer Upgrades Made Possible by Grant from St. Mary’s Bank

Work includes enhanced security and software, refurbished hardware

St. Mary’s Bank, the nation’s first credit union, recently provided a $1,000 community outreach grant to the YWCA New Hampshire to fund improvements to its computer infrastructure.

The project included installation of ten refurbished computers with loaded essential software, established secure wireless access, installed a refurbished Windows server, improved network security and upgraded antivirus software.

The work was completed by Computer Technologies Assistance Corporation (CTAC), a non-profit entity and past recipient of a similar grant from St. Mary’s Bank. Earlier this year, CTAC also partnered with the institution in the donation of refurbished computers to Manchester West High School.

“The YWCA has served Greater Manchester and the state for almost as long as St. Mary’s Bank and the organization does so much to benefit women, children and families,” said Tom Champagne, St. Mary’s Bank Director of Community Outreach. “We’re also grateful to the CTAC for providing their expertise and donating a portion of their services to get the job done.”

“We’re pleased to ‘pass it forward,’ and help another St. Mary’s Bank grant recipient,” said Steven Bothwick, CTAC Executive Director. “We’re especially happy to help the YWCA, which does so much for local families and the community at large.”
