St. Mary’s Donates $2,400 to the Central High Association of Music Parents

Posted On 4/17/2014
St. Mary’s Bank announced it recently gave $2,400 to the Central High Association of Music Parents (CHAMPS), a non‐profit organization whose purpose is to support the activities of the Central High School Music Department. The funds will specifically be used to purchase two computers for a new student learning lab.

“Music and the arts are very important in the education of our students but the resources needed to adequately fund these programs are often lacking,” said Tom Champagne, Director of Community Outreach at St. Mary’s Bank. “We’re pleased to help CHAMPS give Central High the tools necessary to expand the music program and enhance the learning process of the students.”

CHAMPS currently has 10 computers in its learning center and the two additional computers will be available for use by all of the music department students, band, chorus, orchestra and other music classes.
