"As the CEO and steward of one of Manchester’s historic institutions, it is a particular honor for me to be invited to chair the Historic Preservation Awards," Covey said. "Embracing Manchester’s rich history strengthens our sense of community, and these awards recognize vital contributions in preserving our heritage for future generations."

Covey has taken on leadership positions with a number of community organizations, and currently serves on the boards of the Manchester Boys & Girls Club, the Daniel Webster Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the American Credit Union Museum Foundation and the New Hampshire Union Leader.

"Ron represents one of the city’s bedrock institutions, which makes him a natural fit to chair our Historic Preservation Awards," said John Clayton, who is executive director of the MHA and Millyard Museum.

The 2018 edition of the Historic Preservation Awards will recognize the efforts of individuals, businesses and organizations that have made significant contributions to the preservation of buildings, neighborhoods, traditions and other historic resources in our city.
