Don St. Germain Joins Board of Directors for the Manchester Development Corporation

Don St. Germain, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of St. Mary’s Bank was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Manchester Development Corporation (MDC) of the City of Manchester. The mission of the MDC is to facilitate the highest and best use of the assets of the City of Manchester for the benefit of all citizens.
 
“Over the past several years, the landscape of downtown Manchester has been revitalized,” said Don St. Germain. “I am happy to represent St. Mary’s Bank on the Board of Directors and promote the continued economic development of the City of Manchester.”
 
MDC provides advocacy, support, and financing for a variety of projects in the City of Manchester. Projects include The Verizon Center, the purchase and subsequent sale of what is now known as Manchester Place, rehabilitation of the Chase Block, Dunlap Building, McQuade Building, and the expansion of Benefit Strategies on Elm Street. MDC financing was also critical to the development of the Hilton Garden Inn and the rehab and improvements to the La Quinta Inn & Suites. MDC has provided numerous loans to local businesses through its revolving loan fund.
