St. Mary’s Bank Claims ‘Best of 603’ Gold in Credit Union Category

Posted On 9/18/2023
St. Mary’s Bank has won gold in the category of Best Credit Union in the third edition of Best of the 603, presented by Fidium Fiber.

Created by Manchester Radio Group, Best of the 603 magazine showcases the effort to discover and celebrate the businesses, people, and places loved most as voted by listeners.

“We deeply appreciate the recognition,” said Ken Senus, president and CEO of St. Mary’s Bank. “Receiving gold as the area’s Best Credit Union for two years in a row is a testament to our teams’ dedication to our members and the greater 603 population.”

In 2023, Best of the 603 had more than 2,800 businesses, organizations, and individuals compete to be named in the top three spots of 256 categories. During the voting, more than 149,000 votes were cast - which is almost double the previous year.

Senus also cited St. Mary’s Bank’s commitment to philanthropy with the organization’s 603 Account, a unique checking account launched in 2022 that continually benefits New Hampshire nonprofits.

Each time an individual uses their 603 Account debit card to make a purchase, St. Mary’s Bank donates $0.0603 to a non-profit. Members can select one of four categories they would like their contributions to go to: Animals, Children & Families, Environment, and Food & Shelter.

Current charities include NHSPCA (Animals), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Hampshire (Children & Families), Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests (Environment), and the New Hampshire Food Bank (Food & Shelter).

“In 2023, St. Mary’s Bank has supported over 100 organizations with charitable giving. Our employees have also generously contributed over 2,400 hours to volunteering,” said Senus. “Our goal remains to strengthen our connection to the communities we are honored to support.”
