St. Mary’s Bank Welcomes Mortgage Loan Officer, Christine Wellington

Posted

St. Mary’s Bank proudly welcomes Christine Wellington as its newest Mortgage Loan Officer. Wellington joins the Mortgage Center with over 15 years of experience helping homebuyers secure smart, timely mortgage solutions—always with a deep focus on personal service.

With a strong track record of efficiency and care, Wellington has built her reputation around getting loans closed—often in 30 days or less—while keeping her clients informed and confident every step of the way. Her background includes an in-depth understanding of a range of mortgage products, from first-time homebuyer programs to adjustable-rate options and refinancing strategies.

“Christine brings the kind of experience you can’t teach—and the kind of heart you can’t fake,” said Karen Mayrand, Director of Residential Lending at St. Mary’s Bank. “She shares our credit union’s commitment to putting members first, and she approaches every conversation as a chance to build trust, not just business.”

Wellington’s decision to join St. Mary’s Bank was rooted in shared values. “I’ve always believed that mortgage lending is about people, not just paperwork,” she said. “St. Mary’s isn’t just a place that says they care about members—they actually live it. That’s why this is the right place for me, and I’m thrilled to be part of a team that makes a real difference in people’s lives.”

In her role, Wellington will work closely with homebuyers across New Hampshire and Maine, guiding them from application through closing while collaborating with real estate professionals to keep transactions moving smoothly.

She is also known for her deep ties to the real estate community—actively participating in both the Strafford and Seacoast Boards of Realtors. In 2024, she was named Affiliate of the Year by the Strafford Board of Realtors. Wellington is also currently serving as the Board of Directors President for Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity and continues to champion affordable housing across the region. In alignment with this mission, Christine has also been selected to join the 2025–2026 cohort of the New Hampshire Housing Fellowship Program, further deepening their involvement in housing policy and community-driven solutions.

Whether it’s a first home, a vacation retreat, or a refinance opportunity, members working with Wellington can expect prompt communication, thoughtful advice, and a mortgage experience rooted in care.
